We’re Engaged! Relationship Status - v.2.0

In case anyone doesn’t already know, Krista and I are engaged!

We’ve both been very excited and will start figuring things out and making plans together this summer when she returns from her trip.  I’ve already known for a while that I would be asking for her hand in marriage, and after we had discussed our feelings for a while I could tell that it was time.  We’re planning on getting married sometime in mid-June 2010.

It’s all very new for both of us and at times can be confusing and even occasionally bring feelings of uncertainty for what lies ahead, but I deeply love her and I know that I want to tackle whatever may be ahead for us together, whether it be doubts, worries, difficult times, or anything else.  I don’t need things to always be easy, natural, or without conflict for us, nor do I expect them to be; instead, I just really want us to always be close and share in all our struggles, our growth, and our joys because I care about hers and with her I always feel comfortable sharing mine.

My desire for, no matter what, always being a part of those things with her and the ability for us to continue complementing each other is what gives me encouragement and my faith in us.  I believe that being together can be very rewarding for both of us, and that we will grow a lot in our relationship, ourselves, and our faith living life together.  While Krista has been away my mind has raced with all sorts of uncertanties, but the one thing I do know is that I want us to always be together and to always sort out our concerns together.

I’m very in love with Krista and so incredibly thankful for the blessing it is to have her in my life.  Even though I’m sometimes nervous about what lies ahead, at the same time I’m anxious to see what is in store for us.  I hope that we will have a long and wonderful journey together, and I can’t wait for her to come home!
